Lady Irish Volleyball
2008

Every day at 3:30 P.M., the Lady Irish volleyball team is hard at work. They are led by their Head Coach Linda Wickham, Assistant Coach Carly Hill, and Assistant Coach B.J. Hill. The girls are practicing for their first match on September 9 at Liberty Middle School against the Pratt Greenbacks and Dodge City Sacred Heart Cougars.  Coach Wickham has coached a total of 20 years, 13 years at Pratt, and 7 years at Kennedy. She thinks this year’s season will be a successful one, winning at least half of the matches, maybe even more. The best aspects of this year’s team is that they are very coachable, have strong work ethics, they get along well with others, and several students have a good knowledge of the game. But like every other team, they have to work on things like serving, being aggressive, and learning positions on offense and defense. Their toughest competition will be Salina Sacred Heart, Great Bend, Manhattan, and maybe Pratt. Good Luck to the Lady Irish!
