7th Grade Band
Under the team direction of:

The 7th grade band continues their musical education in band this year. Combined with our 8th grade band, they will join with Felten Middle School's 7th & 8th grade band for a marching performance at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson. We march with our own 8th grade for our three local school homecoming parades. They will perform in a Winter Concert in December. They will work on a combined school 7th grade band performance with Felten Middle School at the Hays Music Festival in March at Hays High School. Our final concert will again be at the FHSU Beach-Schmidt Performing Arts Auditorium on May 11, 2009.
Our goal is that all students will develop an attitude of excellence in all they do. As instrumentalists, we want to improve our playing every day! Teachers will test according to the format explained in class. Chair order may change with each playing test according to the student's score. Formal challenges for chairs may be scheduled with Mr. Bishop. Challenge material will be over concert music and other pre-assigned materials.
