Chess develops mental abilities used throughout life including concentration, reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, planning, and creativity. Chess is a fun, challenging, and rewarding mental exercise.

The KMS Chess Club meets on Wednesdays and Fridays in room 110 following Seminar. The club is sponsored by Mrs. Dewald.

The club mascot is Mr. SPAM. Mr. SPAM represents Students Performing At Maximum.
